Dear valued customer, 

in mid-December 2023 shipping lines (Hapag-Lloyd) experienced an attack on their vessel “Al Jasrah” in the Red Sea. Fortunately, the crew was not injured, and the vessel could continue its journey. As of today, the situation around the Suez Canal and the Red Sea is unsafe and the risks for crews onboard are unacceptable. 

Shipping lines decided to avoid the route via Suez canal and will route their vessels via Cape of Good Hope (South Africs) instead with immediate effect. This will cause longer transit time of at least 7-14 days.

Hapag Lloyd will reassess the situation in the Red Sea regularly and reinstate their services through the Suez Canal when the situation in the area is deemed safe and secure for their vessels and crews and your cargo onboard.

Mitte Dezember 2023 erlebte die Reederei Hapag-Lloyd einen Angriff auf ihr Schiff "Al Jasrah" im Roten Meer. Glücklicherweise wurde die Besatzung nicht verletzt und das Schiff konnte seine Reise fortsetzen. Seit heute ist die Situation rund um den Suezkanal und das Rote Meer unsicher und die Risiken für die Besatzungen an Bord sind inakzeptabel. 

Die Reedereien haben bis auf Weiteres beschlossen, die Route über den Suezkanal zu meiden und ihre Schiffe stattdessen ab sofort über das Kap der Guten Hoffnung (Südafrika) zu leiten. Dies wird zu einer längeren Transitzeit von mindestens 7-14 Tagen führen. 

Hapag-Lloyd wird die Situation im Roten Meer regelmäßig neu bewerten und ihre Dienste durch den Suezkanal wieder aufnehmen, sobald die Situation in dem Gebiet als sicher für die Schiffe, die Besatzungen und die Fracht an Bord angesehen wird.
